XR for building maintenance
Traditional building maintenance is largely reactive,relying on manual processes and paper-based records. This often leads to delayed interventions,increased downtime, and higher maintenance costs. The project delivers a groundbreaking tool to optimize maintenance and operational efficiency for multiple types of buildings, boosting capacity buildings and SRI scores. Specifically, an XR-based WebXR application tailored for remote maintenance of adaptive building envelopes is developed, thus enabling real-time, interactive maintenance via PCs and tablets, fostering seamless remote collaboration, and enhancing building maintenance efficiency.
The project is developed in collaboration with EXVIRIENCE.

The web-based platform is designed for:
- Reporting maintenance issues. Guiding the end-user in identifying and reporting building system failures through a fast and easy ticketing service;
- Fast access to building information. Making technical andmanufacturing information (e.g., data from BIM, Digital Product Passport, trend performance,etc.) full accessible to the facility manager and technician;
- Remote assistance service. Remotely connecting on-siteperson with technicians to receive real-time assistance;
- Managing operational compliance. Verifying the operational status of theasset by displaying KPIs and historical trends on performance.
