PV-IGU for Building Envelope

PV-IGU FOR BUILDING ENVELOPE

Service to support Glass To Power in the technological integration of BIPV in the Building Envelope.

The “PV-IGU for Building Envelope” project, commissioned by Glass To Power, focuses on supporting the technical and strategic integration of photovoltaic insulated glass units (PV-IGU) within building facades. The initiative specifically advances the design and implementation of fully integrated PV solutions embedded into insulating glass units, exemplified by the Heli-on product, which features invisible integration and aesthetic compatibility with architectural glass components. The project centers on analyzing the interface requirements between the PV-IGU and the building envelope, addressing the technical implications essential for successful market entry and targeted segmentation within architectural applications.

What Levery does in PV-IGU for building envelope

Levery provided methodological and technical support for the systematic evaluation of the integration between photovoltaic insulated glass units and building envelope components. This included defining and analyzing interface parameters, performance constraints, and design alignment, all of which were consistent with product specifications and architectural standards. The work included identifying critical integration points and functional requirements to enable the seamless incorporation of Heli-on technology into existing façade systems. Levery also contributed to the assessment of market positioning and segmentation strategies by mapping relevant building envelope typologies and application contexts. This integrated approach reduces technical uncertainties and supports the development of a coherent framework to guide subsequent validation and commercialization phases.
